What: My all-time favourite restaurant in the middle of the Médina, the old city, in Marrakech. Through a small door you enter this little piece of heaven – yes, this is possible in the bustle of the Souks – to have breakfast, lunch, dinner or drink juices (or cocktails!) in the afternoon.
Food: They serve all kind of food, from all over the world. Salads, pastas, nems and of course also traditional Moroccan dishes; tajine please!
Atmosphere & design: The interior is stunning; you are surrounded by plants. The green tiles in the small patio have a huge ‘want’-factor. Choose a chair in between the plant jungle or go upstairs and lie on one of those great lounge beds.
Insiders tip: Le Jardin is two steps away from Terrasse des Épices, a stunning rooftop terrace where you can go and drink an apero first.
Price category: Salads: € 7 – Large dishes: € 12.
Address: Souk El Jeld 32. Sidi Abdelaziz. Marrakech Médina.
