What: An authentic Italian family restaurant which exists since 1962. My grandparents loved this place and learned me it was the best Italian in the city. Antonio (son of the founder Mario) works in the kitchen, his wife France helps you in the restaurant. If you are lucky you will meet Mimi, Mario’s wife who often comes to the restaurant to help out and to greet the customers. The restaurant is only open for lunch, but you can take out their pastas, pizzas and tiramisu for dinner at home.

Food: Simple, authentic and delicious Italian food. They make their pasta from scratch; Mario learned his son that even ravioli can’t be made with a machine, it has to be made by hand.

Atmosphere & design: You first enter the delishop and kitchen. Once you go upstairs you’ll find a cosy little restaurant. Still exactly the same as when I came here as a little girl.

Insiders tip: My personal favourites: their lasagna, saltimbocca and osso bucco. If you come here around 11 AM – to pick up lasagna for dinner – the family is busy making fresh ravioli. Watch it front row!

Price category: Fish and meat dishes will cost you between 18 and 24 euros. Pasta between 10 and 15 euros.
